When applying for the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program through beta.certify.sba.gov, firms need to claim their business.
Scene 3: 00:14
Here, we will walk you through this process so you can successfully claim your business and apply for the WOSB Federal Contracting Program.
Scene 4: 00:21
Before you create your beta.certify.sba.gov account to begin your WOSB Federal Contracting Program application,
• Subscene: 00:28
make sure your firm is registered for “All Awards”— not just Loans and Grants.
Also, ensure your information is up to date in SAM.gov.
Scene 5: 00:34
The next step is to start creating your beta.certify.sba.gov profile.
Scene 6: 00:42
The majority or designated woman owner of the firm (51% ownership) must create the firm’s beta.certify.sba.gov profile.
• Subscene: 00:49
The majority or designated woman owner must be the main government point of contact in SAM.gov.
Scene 7: 00:55
Early in the profile creation process, you will claim your business by inputting 3 unique identifiers and connecting your SAM.gov and beta.certify.sba.gov profiles.
• Subscene: 01:03
These are your DUNS, TIN, and MPIN numbers.
If your TIN starts with a zero, please exclude the zero and any dashes.
Scene 8: 01:10
Once you have entered the three unique identifiers, it’s time to “claim your business.”
Scene 9: 01:16
Then, confirm your primary NAICS code.
Scene 10: 01:22
Next, confirm that you are for-profit company and use the drop-down menu to select your type of business.
Scene 11: 01:30
Confirm that you aren’t currently debarred in SAM.
Scene 12: 01:29
Upload proof of U.S. citizenship to confirm that the majority of your firm is owned and controlled by women who are U.S. citizens.
Scene 13: 02:02
Once you’ve claimed your business and answered some basic eligibility questions,
• Subscene: 02:07
you will be taken to your main dashboard where you can start your application.
Scene 14: 02:12
Remember: It is essential that you correctly answer application questions such as “What is your business structure?” and “What certification are you pursuing?”.
• Subscene: 02:19
These questions will influence what documents are required in your application package.
Scene 15: 02:25
